By requesting or using our services, including communication via phone, email, text, social media, or in person, you agree to our Terms & Conditions and Waiver of Liability. These may be updated at any time without prior notice.
1. Services - Terms
“Walks” are shorter, on-leash outings designed to provide dogs with gentle exercise, routine, and time outdoors. These walks are structured, calm, and focused on maintaining consistency and wellbeing.
“Explorations” are longer, more enriching outings that may include a mix of on-leash and off-leash time, depending on each dog’s temperament, training, and recall ability. These experiences are designed to provide increased stimulation, movement, and exposure to varied environments.
All services are tailored to suit the individual needs of each dog.
2. Liability
While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in my care, by engaging Walks and Wags services, you acknowledge and accept that:

Dogs may be exposed to inherent risks during walks, including but not limited to interactions with other animals, environmental hazards, and unforeseen incidents.

Walks and Wags is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or death of your dog that may occur during or after services, except in cases of proven negligence.

You confirm that your dog is physically fit, healthy, and suitable for participation in walks and/or off-leash activities (where applicable).
In the event of an incident, I will make every reasonable effort to contact you as soon as possible. If urgent care is required and you are unable to be reached, you authorise Walks and Wags to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf, using reasonable judgement to ensure your dog’s wellbeing.
3. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled service will incur no fee.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 24 hours or failure to attend may incur the full service fee.
4. Tools & Equipment

Walks and Wags may use appropriate walking equipment including leads, harnesses, long lines, and safety restraints where necessary.

You agree to provide suitable, well-fitted equipment for your dog, unless otherwise arranged.

Walks and Wags reserves the right to use alternative equipment if deemed necessary for safety or control.
5. Hours of Operation
Walks and Wags operates Monday to Friday.
6. Use of Photos & Videos
By using Walks and Wags services, you consent to photos and videos of your dog being taken during walks and used for:

Social media

Website content
-
Marketing and promotional material
If you do not wish for your dog to be featured, please notify Walks and Wags in writing.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through open and respectful communication.
If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be escalated to mediation or other appropriate legal channels in accordance with New Zealand law.
8. Waiver of Liability
By engaging Walks and Wags services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
You acknowledge that you are voluntarily allowing your dog to participate in services and accept all associated risks. You agree to waive, release, and hold harmless Walks and Wags from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising from the provision of services.
